Animal Bingo with Letter Dice
By Monica Painter
Animal bingo with letter dice familiarizes preschoolers with letters and sounds. Preschoolers build foundational literacy skills while playing this game! Invite your preschooler to tape or glue letters to the sides of a tissue box. Expose preschoolers to different sounds as they tape the letters to the box.
What You Will Need
Empty tissue box
Construction paper
Clear tape
Markers
Small pictures of animals
Pennies (approximately 40)
How To Make It
Step 1:
Cover the tissue box with construction paper.
Step 2:
Write letters on each side of the box.
Step 3:
Draw 9 squares on 4 pieces of construction paper and tape one animal picture in each square.
Step 4:
Ready to play the game! Roll the tissue box dice. If the dice lands on "d" put a penny on animals that begin with "d."
Step 5:
Whoever is first to get 3 across, 3 down, or 3 diagonal wins! You can also play without winning - just roll the dice and play familiarizing preschoolers with the sounds.
