Sugar Cone Christmas Trees

Make Christmas trees preschoolers can eat! These simple trees are fun and simple to decorate. The project is wonderful for exploring preschoolers creativity and makes for an extraordinary edible center piece on your table!
What You Will Need
Sugar cones - one per tree
Green frosting
Small candies for decorating (mini m&m's or decorative sprinkles work well)
How To Make It
Have preschoolers spread frosting on a sugar cone.
Turn the sugar cone upside down to make a Christmas tree shape
Preschoolers decorate their sugar cone with small candies
Use as a center piece on the table or enjoy this Christmas treat!
Make It More Challenging
Introduce preschoolers to colors and patterns during this project. For example, dip part of the cone in green, then red, then green, then ask preschoolers what comes next. Another example is to put a candy m & m, then 2 candy stars, then another m & m, then 2 candy stars. As preschoolers to finish the pattern. Ask your preschooler to start a patterns and have someone else finish it! Make a mistake on purpose and see if your preschooler catches the mistake!
