Christmas Morning Breakfast Tray
By Linette GerlachWould you like your preschooler to bring you breakfast in bed on Christmas morning? Here is a simple breakfast tray you can make with your preschooler's help. Even if they don't bring you breakfast in bed this tray is a great way to preserve some great Christmas memories.
What You Will Need
2 cupboard door handles with the hardware
8x10, or 11x17 photo frame
thin piece of plywood to fasten to the back of the frame
wood glue
short finishing nails
Polyurethane
Paint
Whatever you want to use to decorate the tray, pressed flowers, photos, your preschoolers artwork, drawings, etc.
How To Make It
Step 1.
Cut your plywood to match the outside dimensions of the frame. Glue the frame to the plywood, then nail the finishing nails through the wood and the frame to attach them together.
Let your preschooler help you paint the tray if desired. Attach the handles to the short sides of the tray. Decorate the center of the tray with photos, artwork, stickers, stamps, or your preschooler's artwork. Apply a coat of Polyurethane over the top, and let it dry.
Step 3.
Help your preschooler make breakfast in bed for your spouse, grandma, or a family friend.
