Simple Card Clips for Preschoolers
By Linette GerlachThe preschooler card clip makes a great way to display preschool artwork, Christmas cards, or Birthday cards. This is a very simple project - you can have a clip finished in as little as a minute or two. You can also decorate more elaborate clips with your preschooler when you have the time.
What You Will Need
Wood ClothespinsString or twine
Your choice of glitter paint, construction paper, stickers, paint, markers
Scissors
Brushes
Glue
How To Make It
With your preschooler's help, decorate the side of the clothespin you are going to use as the front. Use construction paper, glitter paint, stickers, or just draw your own design.
Step 1:
Use your imagination. Decide with your preschooler what you want to create with your clothespin.
Step 2:
You can use the construction paper to cut out small party hats, snowmen, or Santa Clauses for a Christmas theme. If you want, just paint the clothespins bright colors with fun colorful paints or glitter paint.
Step 3:
Tie or tape the twine/string across a fireplace mantle or a door. Attach the string to the fireplace mantle or door with fine nails, tape, or Micro Utility Hooks.
Step 4:
Clip your artwork, or cards to the string with the decorated clothespins.
This project is great for helping your preschooler develop fine motor skills.
