Preschool Wooden Sandbox

Make a wooden sandbox with your preschooler that has a personality all of its own. Making this preschool wooden sandbox requires assembly of seven pieces of wood and your preschooler's favorite colors of paint. Enjoy quality time building a cool and inviting wooden sandbox is original and full of fun!

What You Will Need

2 four foot long pieces of wood (these will make the long sides of the sandbox)
4 two foot long pieces of wood (these will make the short sides and benches on the sandbox)
1 two foot by four foot piece of wood (this is the bottom of the sandbox)
All pieces of wood should be 8 inches in width except for the bottom, which should be 1 inch thick
Hammer and nails
Preschoolers favorite color(s) of paint
Sand

How To Make It

Step 1:
Nail the sides of the sandbox to the bottom.Buy at Art.com

Step 2:
Nail the benches to the top of the sandbox on each side.

Step 3:
Paint the sandbox adding personal colors and designs.

Step 4:
Pour the sand in the sandbox after paint dries.

Hanging plant hooks can be used to anchor a tarp into the ground next to the sandbox. This can serve as the sandbox cover! Place two hooks on one side, and 2 bricks on the other side to cover sandbox!
